Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) is one of the leading GCC Roads & Transport Authority that holds a trend setter position in the GCC region. RTA is responsible for planning and providing an effective and integrated transport system which is capable of achieving Dubai’s vision and serves vital interests of the Emirate. The authority is also responsible to gather requirements of transport, roads and traffic management in the Emirate of Dubai, between other Emirates of the UAE, and neighboring countries.
BUSINESS NEED
The quantity and spread of information throughout RTA mandates the use of an integrated and well-architected Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) solution. In the absence of such an approach to GRC information and technology, the organization runs on a major risk of failing to obtain, understand, and use information efficiently about external and internal events; strategies, goals and objectives; requirements; performance; and conduct which enable effective governance, risk management, compliance and the operation of related controls.
RTA’s Request for Proposal was intended to engage a solution provider that implements an Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance Management solution meeting the immediate needs of RTA and provide an Enterprise GRC Roadmap for implementation covering the needs of all business departments across entire RTA organization.

OUR SOLUTION
Interactive has implemented RSA Archer as the GRC solution in order to meet the needs of RTA. In addition, through this project Interactive has created enterprise-wide awareness for management, business, and technical teams on Enterprise IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Management. Interactive has trained selected resources to operationalize Enterprise GRC solution. The RSA Archer ranks no. 1 in Gartner in Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance. The Solution consists of the following components:

- Security Operations (SecOps)
A total of 18 Enterprise Applications are in use by various agencies and departments within RTA which were automated under this GRC solution.
BENEFITS
Interactive helped RTA to choose the best of the breed solution i.e. RSA Archer to achieve executive management oversight through appropriate reporting mechanisms such as a security and/or compliance dashboard. Cost/benefit and other data were provided to the executive management for decision-making purposes. Awareness to the benefits of GRC was brought to RTA to affect change within the organization to better serve its customers.
